Wrapping it Up

Dinner was a special event, not so much for the food as for the company that we had for the meal.

My buddy Roger is now a police captain in Tennessee. He and Melody drove up to meet us in Marengo for dinner. It's been a while since they visited me in Colorado and even though I've had a trip to Texas two years ago, our schedules didn’t synch up and this was the first big opportunity to get together. This past year Roger and Melody moved to Tennessee. Roger and Melody brought Jack with them. He's a Texas jackelope and will be traveling back to Colorado with us for the 2007 STARFLEET International Conference. We talked about the old times and about plans for the future. It was great to see everyone and catch up. After dinner Roger and Melody headed back to Tennessee, a three and a half hour drive for them. We returned to the NSS campground, caught up with the Colorado group and made plans for Monday.

Jack is used to traveling in luxury. Going 4x4 would be a new experience for him!

A lot of businesses were really excited about having the convention in town. They say that the population of Crawford County grew by 25% for this event!
