Following The Magician by Stormy on November 17, 2007 Art is fun. Themed art is even better. And what's really cool is running into the same piece of art in your travels. It can become like meeting an old friend. Over the last two years I've had the pleasure of bumping into Andersen Kee's painted pony "The Magician" many times in my travels. It's almost become a game as to how many times I can see this work of art. In December 2005 I saw The Magician for the first time at the Golden Hotel in Golden, CO. This is the permanent exhibit location for the traveling pony. In July 2007 I visited the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY to see the large pony exhibit assembled there and The Magician was in attendance. November 2007 was a banner month. I saw The Magician at artist signings in Broomfield, CO and again in Lone Tree, CO two weeks later. I guess art can grow on you. The Magician has clearly become a friend. |
